Back to basics

The day we had all been waiting for had finally come. It was early November and I opened my door to find a fresh blanket of white. It was what we all needed, a much needed relief to what seemed to be never ending anticipation. The air was crisp and the peaks of the Wasatch front were covered in snow, four feet to be exact. Our spirits had finally been lifted and a new sense of light-heartedness had come into our lives. Our adventures were about to begin. As we gathered together ear-to-ear smiles were inevitable. Our love for the snow was the reason we had all moved to Salt Lake City and we were finally able to immerse ourselves in the champagne powder that Utah provides. Some hiked up through the waist deep powder to the bowls of Alta to make their first runs of the season in untracked powder and hopefully get that face shot we have been dreaming about. Others hiked up Brighton or Guardsman's pass to hit features and get some new tricks in their bag before the resort openings, as well as some preseason footage to show everyone back home that we had snow and were ready to pick up right where we left off last season.
